Our Story, Our Beliefs…

and what it means for your business

Are you and your team operating at the highest possible level? Or do you feel like there is potential to improve results beyond what you are currently experiencing?

Hi, I’m Kimrey Tefft and I work with business teams that are striving to be the best that they can be!

“I design customized solutions to help them energize, educate and empower their teams to achieve breakthrough results.”

Whether it’s individual coaching, expert facilitation or a full-scale employee reset plan aimed at improving alignment and synergy, it is my intention to partner with you so that you can realize the potential that you know is there, but you just haven’t yet been able to unleash it!

True Team was founded on a few core principles
that we bring every day.

  • Work and fun go hand in hand. In fact, I don’t want one without the other.

We spend more than half of our lives at work. Science has proven that lives filled with joy and accomplishment (i.e. job satisfaction) can not only enhance quality of life, but extend life. It’s fun to win. Show me a work team that has broken records and achieved success and I will show you a group of people having a really, really good time.

  • What makes your team unique, can make your team extraordinary.

I’ve been a strengths coach for more than a decade and believe whole-heartedly that individuals have unique gifts to contribute to the world. If the differences between people on your work team are getting in the way, it’s because they don’t yet know how to use those differences to make themselves AND the team as a whole stronger. Diversity brings people together or rips people apart. Whichever situation you have, it can be improved upon significantly by using a trustworthy facilitator to provide education and training to your team members.

  • People are brought together for a reason and that reason is to achieve something, together.

Wherever you are right now, there are things to learn and ways to grow for purposes you may not yet be able to see. It is in these moments of greatest discomfort that we have the opportunity to achieve higher levels of success than ever before, both personally and professionally. The truth may be that as we age, the choice to continue to experience “growing pains” becomes more difficult. Each of us gets to decide if it’s worth it to reach new levels of success.

  • Trust and respect are foundational to all partnerships.

    Nuff said.

  • Most teams compromise results every single day due to unresolved problems.

I hear regularly “We don’t have the time to deal with that crap.” Yet teams somehow find the time to deal with all the crap that comes from not dealing with the crap. You may not be able to resolve the problems yourself.

That doesn’t mean that they can’t get resolved.

  • I believe if you could fix your own team yourself, you would have done it already.

It is exceptionally difficult to objectively evaluate yourself and your own team. It is even harder to successfully evolve the team dynamics when you are a member of it. Despite my 30+ years of achieving results leading diverse teams around the world, if I need help with my own team, I call in an expert that can more swiftly and effectively facilitate our growth. I want to grow too.

  • Every team can achieve more if they are committed and coachable.

Most people say that they are coachable and committed. Some are, some prove not to be…usually very quickly. There are lots of reasons why. In general, if you aren’t coachable, nothing is going to change. If you don’t stay committed to a plan for change, nothing is going to change. Everyone wants results. The ones that get them are willing to invest and stay engaged with the team through the process until the results are achieved. In my experience, to get better results, the leader must be coachable and committed to model the way for the rest of the team to follow. If the leader isn’t, no one else will be. I am not a fan of wasting time or money, yours or mine.

This one is a deal breaker for us both.

  • Whether you work with one person or many people, there are positive steps you can take to work together better.

Whether you are a team of two or two thousand, there is always room for growth and greater accomplishment together.

  • To achieve something you’ve never achieved, you have to do things you’ve never done.

That definition of insanity is real right? Do the same things and expect different results? We know better. If you’re stuck, the best thing you can do is ask for help.

If you are coachable and committed, the sky is the limit.

  • I believe I am the luckiest girl in the world to do what I do for a living – I get to witness the creation & restoration of hope, confidence and success to teams around the world.

The Gallup organization once discovered that less than 2 out of 10 people get to play to their strengths at work. I am one of the 2 out of 10.

I am relentlessly passionate about helping teams win. In fact, it’s all I do.
