Unleash the Power of Teamwork…
Whatever good or service you provide to the world, if more than one person is required to do it, your greatest challenge may be getting them to work well, together.
With an overwhelming amount of information and options available to both consumers and to top talent, the requirements for leaders have never been so challenging. How your teams function will mean the difference between executing your vision and failure.
Measurable ROI in no Time…
Optimal outcomes for you and your business will not magically happen. They are achieved by investing in the development of your teams toward specific measurable results:
- Evolving to meet new business demands
- Employee happiness & turnover reduction
- Improved communication & efficiency of execution
- Bringing a unified voice to branding, marketing and sales
- Increased customer lifetime value
- All the benefits of a collaborative work environment
There Could Be Tremendous Cost of Inaction…
The rewards of deploying high-functioning teams in your organization are clear – but the costs of toxic or inefficient work environments are not always so obvious.
You see opportunity out there, but your teams may be slow to execute and you’re just not getting there.
Teamwork is the oil in the machine that brings creativity, thought leadership and incredible agility.

There’s no point in working if you don’t enjoy it. Leaders need to allow the team to do their jobs. There’s no need to micromanage. They were hired for a reason so allow them to do what they were hired for. If they fall, lift them back up and encourage them. Once you have their trust, they will do anything for you.

Today I am grateful for a true team of a different sort: the critical care team that works at Duke Hospital. After spending 8 days here with my Mom, I quickly realized many similarities to hotels. There is a front desk and visitor check-in desk, a large Food and Beverage operation, a huge Housekeeping department and a myriad of professionals executing their roles efficiently and effectively. My room clearly had a view and was private 🥰 …. that was such a bonus. Except for the IVs and needles and waking us up every two hours, lots of similarities! Within a day or two, staff members connected with me personally and learned what I do for a living. Since that moment I was their sounding board …. I learned everything about compensation packages and levels of engagement and what each of them thought was fair/unfair about them. Titles and certifications matter of course and dictated pay ranges. Staffing shortages exist here too and when you’re in ICU as a family member you just don’t want to hear that. Friendliness came so naturally for some and those team members will probably stay in touch with me forever after what we’ve been through! Only a couple out of the hundreds I met, seemed cold, confused, overwhelmed or unable to multi-task. Each day I was eager to know who was assigned to us as that would dictate the kind of day we had! I am so incredibly grateful for the amazing care my Mom received and the hospitality that was extended to me as an “inpatient” family member! The whole team here bantered with me leading up to the UNC-DUKE game Saturday night and it killed me to lose to those Devils while we were stuck here 😩 Lucky for me I had made friends and asked them swiftly for my own IV and sedative to ease my pain! We are now waiting for the transport team to come and get Mom safely home. Whether you work in a hotel, a hospital or on any other team providing service to others, remember the power you have every day to make or break someone’s day. This team carried me through 8 very difficult ones. They changed everything for me🙏🏻❤️💐 ... See MoreSee Less

There is no greater professional joy for me than knowing what lies ahead for a team of leaders that have never had the kind of development opportunity that they are about to have! On fire to engage, educate and empower them by facilitating a pivotal and positive experience that they won’t soon forget 🔥🙏🏻👍🏻👊🏻 #positiveleadership #betrueteam ... See MoreSee Less

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!! Why am I wearing a LOVE sweater today? Well, because it’s cold outside AND because where work is concerned, love has EVERYTHING to do with it!
Ask yourself:
Do you love what you do?
Do you want to?
Do you love who you work for?
Do you want to?
Do you love where you work?
Do you want to?
Most people I ask answer those questions with a resounding YES!
So much of our experience at work has to do with the people we work with: those above us, beside us and those reporting to us. By learning new leadership and team development skills to lead today’s workforce, there is hope and opportunity to put more joy and fulfillment back into your worklife. It’s not easy…but in my experience nothing worth it has ever been easy. #teambuilding #leadership #collaboration #betrueteam #worktogetherwintogether ... See MoreSee Less
